Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Criminal Lawyer based in Hervey Bay, QLD. The successful candidate will handle court appearances, case preparation, and representation of clients in criminal law matters. Responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, negotiating on behalf of clients, and providing expert advice on various criminal law issues. The role requires frequent collaboration with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and experience in Criminal Law and legal procedures.
• Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and writing of legal documents.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain client confidentiality.
• Admitted to practice law in Australia and in good standing with the relevant legal authority.
• Experience with local legal systems and procedures in Queensland is an advantage.
