Practical Legal Training (PLT) Student – Criminal Law

McCristal & Co Lawyers is a boutique criminal law practice based in Sydney seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Practical Legal Training (PLT) student to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with a genuine interest in criminal law to gain hands-on experience.

About the Role

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist with legal research and drafting
  • Prepare court documents and correspondence
  • Observe court appearances and client conferences
  • Assist with file management and administrative tasks
  • Develop practical skills in criminal law and court procedure

About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be currently undertaking or about to commence PLT
  • Have a strong interest in criminal law
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be highly organised and attentive to detail
  • Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and a willingness to learn
  • Be able to travel to courts around Sydney
