Banking & Finance Graduate / Junior Lawyer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate that is between the level of Law Graduate through to 2 years PQE to join our growing Banking & Finance team.  Our Banking & Finance team is based in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.

This is an excellent opportunity to build your legal career while working on a broad range of high-quality transactional matters for a wide range of clients including lending institutions, debt funds, family offices, property funds, developers, corporate borrowers, and private clients. You will gain exposure to complex financing arrangements and work closely with experienced practitioners in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in advising clients on a variety of banking and finance matters
• Draft and review transaction documents, including loan agreements, security documents, and ancillary documentation
• Managing and running transactions from start to finish
• Conduct legal research and provide concise advice on regulatory and legal issues
• Assist with due diligence processes and transaction management
• Liaise with clients, counterparties, and external advisors

These tasks are conducted under the supervision and guidance of senior members of our firm.

We are looking for someone who:

• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to contribute to a team
• Is highly organised and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Possesses clear, professional, and engaging communication skills with a strong client focus
• Has exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Has a strong academic record from a recognised Australian or international university
• Holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) and has completed, or is near completion of, Practical Legal Training (PLT)
• A commercial mindset with a keen interest in financial markets and transactions
• Prior experience in a law firm is not required, you will be trained
