We are seeking a Lawyer, Associate, Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join our Insurance team. This opportunity will suit a lawyer looking to build on their litigation and dispute resolution experience, take ownership of matters and work closely with a diverse range of clients across Tasmania and beyond.

The opportunity

Page Seager's Insurance team works with multinational and specialist insurers, self-insured organisations, businesses and government clients, delivering practical and commercially focused advice across a broad range of insurance, liability and dispute resolution matters.

Depending on your experience, your work may include:

• Workers compensation claims and disputes
• Personal injury litigation
• Motor accident claims
• Public and product liability matters
• Professional indemnity claims
• Property damage and recovery actions
• Construction and contractor liability disputes
• Workplace health and safety prosecutions
• Coronial enquiries and regulatory investigations
• Coverage and indemnity disputes
• Alternative dispute resolution, tribunals and court proceedings

You will have the opportunity to work closely with clients, develop your advocacy and advisory skills, and take increasing responsibility for matters as your experience grows. You will also work alongside experienced practitioners advising clients on liability, risk management, claim strategy and dispute resolution.

About you

Lawyer

You will:

• Be admitted to practise in Australia.
• Have strong drafting, analytical and communication skills.
• Have an interest in litigation, dispute resolution and insurance law.
• Be motivated to learn and develop your technical and advocacy skills.
• Enjoy building relationships and working collaboratively as part of a team.

Previous insurance experience is not required.

Associate / Senior Associate / Special Counsel

You will:

• Be admitted to practise in Australia.
• Have experience in personal injury and/or workers compensation matters.
• Demonstrate strong technical capability and sound legal judgement.
• Have experience managing matters and developing client relationships.
• Be comfortable working across litigated and non-litigated matters.
• Be commercially minded, pragmatic and solutions-focused.
• Enjoy mentoring junior colleagues and contributing positively to team culture.
