Purpose of the Role

This role focuses on collaborating with legal professionals, teaching staff and education experts to develop engaging, accurate and authoritative educational programs for law graduates and legal professionals.

The role integrates digital learning design, legal editing, curriculum development, and project and stakeholder management to drive high quality learning, continuous improvement and innovation across the College of Law’s award and non-award programs.

Key Accountabilities

Technology enabled learning experience design and curriculum development

  • Design and develop engaging legal educational content, using learner-centred design principles to enhance learner outcomes, engagement and satisfaction.
  • Design learning content to simulate practical legal tasks, including case studies, activities, assessments, quizzes, rubrics, lecturer guides, and multimedia scripts, aligned with educational standards and organisational objectives.

Learning content creation and continuous improvement lifecycle

  • Evaluate and continuously improve learning content based on feedback and continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Apply best practices in writing and editing, and adherence to in-house style guides, to ensure clarity and accessibility.

Project and stakeholder management

  • Apply project management best practices to the planning, development and implementation of new offerings and continuous improvement projects, with a focus on technology informed learning experiences.
  • Monitor project timelines, risks, and resource allocation to deliver new courses on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

 About you

We’re seeking a creative and innovative Learning professional with excellent relationship building skills and proven experience in designing and developing educational materials.  

Education/Qualification

  • Tertiary qualified in Law, Education or a related field.
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment or higher (or willingness to obtain)

Experience/Skills

  • Recent experience in the legal sector or legal publishing (highly regarded).

  • Demonstrated experience in designing and developing legal educational materials or publications (highly regarded).   

  • Advanced editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to refine complex legal and educational content for clarity, consistency, accuracy, and tone.

  • Excellent relationship building skills and willingness to receive and provide constructive feedback to foster positive collaboration with team members, teaching staff, business units, legal experts and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to write in a clear, engaging and structured way, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organise, prioritise, and execute multiple tasks under strict deadlines

  • Growth mindset and commitment to continually developing expertise in current and emerging digital learning trends and technologies.

  • Highly developed project management skills

  • High-level competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint etc)

  • Adaptable, resilient and proactive in a dynamic work environment.

  • Experience using learning management systems, authoring tools and other educational technologies (highly regarded)
