Our firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Solicitor (graduate level to 2 years PAE) to join our busy, high-performing litigation team.

We provide sophisticated legal services to our clients, combining technical excellence with practical, commercial solutions. This role offers an ideal balance for a practitioner seeking exposure to high-level, complex disputes within a collaborative and supportive boutique environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our Partners. You will be provided with direct mentorship and the opportunity to manage a diverse range of litigation matters, ranging from smaller scale disputes to complex, large-scale proceedings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting legal research to support litigation strategy.
  • Preparing briefs for Counsel and managing the instruction process.
  • Drafting correspondence, pleadings, and affidavits for both Plaintiffs and Defendants.
  • Assist in the management of matters across the Local, District, Supreme, and Federal Court jurisdictions.
  • Managing administrative requirements, including court filings and deadline tracking.
  • Attending and appearing in Court.

Selection Criteria

We invite applications from solicitors who possess the following:

  • Experience: suitable for entry level practitioner up to 2 years PAE.  
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly, and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Professionalism: Exceptional organisational skills, the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Procedural Proficiency: A solid foundational understanding of court practice and procedures, at a level appropriate to the solicitor's level of experience.
