As our commercial practice continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced solicitor to join the team on a recurring basis. This is an opportunity to work across a varied commercial caseload in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

The Role

Alton Legal is seeking a  lawyer with a minimum of 2 years of commercial & property law experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a broad range of commercial matters, including business transactions, corporate structuring, and contractual arrangements.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including sale contracts, shareholder agreements, loan facilities and security documentation.
• Advise on leasing matters across retail, commercial and mixed-use properties, including lease drafting, negotiation and compliance.
• Assist with residential and commercial conveyancing, off-the-plan transactions, and development-related property matters.
• Support clients on business succession, trust structures and related commercial planning.
• Collaborate with senior practitioners on complex, multi-faceted transactions and deliver practical, solutions-oriented advice.
• Maintain strong client relationships and assist in managing matters from instruction through to completion.

Essential Criteria

• Admitted to practice in NSW, with a current practising certificate
• Minimum 2 years’ post-admission experience in a commercial practice
• Experience in property law is highly regarded, e.g. retail leasing, conveyancing or development work preferred
• Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate clearly with clients
