Solicitor/Conveyancer

We are a friendly law firm located in the heart of Mudgee CBD in the Central West area of NSW.

In a newly created full-time position, we are seeking a Solicitor or Licenced Conveyancer to join our team in early 2021. 

This role demands the following:-

• • A minimum of one year’s post admission hands on experience is required in Conveyancing.
  • A strong understanding of the conveyancing process;
  • A practising certificate or conveyancing licence;
  • Sound technical legal knowledge in contract preparation, contract reviews and request for amendments and the transactional aspects of PEXA;
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel plus familiarity with LEAP would be valued;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail;
  • An ability to multi-task and proven experience working to strict deadlines;
  • Commitment to a full-time position.

Family Law and Estate Law experience is an advantage and recently admitted graduates with a minimum  of one-year hands on experience will be considered.

Your initial duties will include but are not limited to :-

• • Liaising with clients, and agents and banks;
  • Preparing and reviewing contracts;
  • Dealing with Revenue NSW and stamping contracts;
  • Co-ordinating settlements;
  • Preparing settlement figures and obtaining instructions; and
  • Answering correspondence, phones, and client enquiries;

Working directly under the Principal or Senior Solicitor in an open friendly working environment, you will be provided opportunities to grow within our firm and in the end you will be able to pursue endeavors' where your talents are best suited.

This position will be offered subject to a probation period on an annual contract subject to renewal.
